Three songs from features released in 2011 were among the nominees vying for Best Song Written for Visual Media in the Grammy Award nominations announced Wednesday night.
Diane Warren's "Born to Be Somebody," sung by Justin Bieber in Never Say Never (Paramount), was among the six nominees in the category. "So Long" from Disney's Winnie The Pooh by Zooey Deschanel and "Where The River Goes" from Paramount's Footloose by Zac Brown, Wyatt Durrette, Drew Pearson, and Anne Preven also made the cut. The three 2011 songs will compete with 2010 Oscar song nominee, "I See the Light," from Disney's Tangled and "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me" from Burlesque (Screen Gems), another 2010 feature film.
